Tommy Longo
Carpentry runs in my blood, with fond memories of my grandpa, a dedicated Carpenter reminiscent of John Prine's ballads. Inspired by this familial legacy, I pursued a degree in Sustainable Design and Construction, blending tradition with contemporary practices.
In 2016, I planted my roots in Central Oregon, drawn by its natural beauty and outdoor opportunities. Beyond the workshop, my passions extend to tending bird feeders, caring for my chickens, exploring the backcountry on skis, cruising on mountain bike trails, and navigating the exhilarating waters of white-water rafting.
Before founding Desert Turtle Carpentry, I honed my skills in various construction industries, gaining a diverse range of experiences. What captivates me most about this industry is the diversity it offers—not just in the work itself, but also in the people I have the pleasure of meeting.
Whether you have a vision for a custom-made piece or have a restoration project in mind, Desert Turtle Carpentry can make it a reality.
